Introduction
Definition:
A WIREDIET is basically a re-configuration of your OEM Ford Mustang wiring developed in the late 90’s by Roger Stine for use originally in Factory Five Racing kit cars but is also applicable to any 5.0 or 4.6 transplant. The purpose being to retain all essential circuits and wires while dieting (eliminating) the rest for a nice clean installation in your project.
Background and Update:
A lot has happened in the last year and a decision had to be made whether or not to continue providing our services – based on the support of our customers, the continuing calls for WIREDIETS, and encouragement from those I consider to be in the know - I have decided to keep our doors open.
Roger Stine did the initial development of the 87-93 5.0 WIREDIET back in 1997 on his early FFR MK I #1225. By Jan. 2000 requests for WIREDIETS had grown to the point he needed another guy – enter myself. Since that time we have made refinements in the 87-93 5.0 Mustang WIREDIETS and gone on to develop WIREDIETS for the 94-95 5.0 Mustang (more like a 4.6 than an early 5.0) and of course due to popular demand the 96-04 SOHC and DOHC 4.6 Mustang Modular engine. Roger’s ground breaking work to combine OEM Ford Mustang engine controls and fuel system with a race car/hot rod chassis harness opened the door for many who just couldn’t see stuffing the complete OEM Mustang wiring into their project.
For 2009 we have begun research on the Lincoln MK VIII and Navigator 4.6 engine wiring and hope to announce later this summer of availability for these WIREDIETS.
For all of Roger’s friends and customers who have been directing prayers and good wishes his way through the difficult time of his illness – Roger, his family and myself - we thank you with all our hearts.
To maintain the reputation that Roger established and that we have maintained through the years for top quality work is my main objective. I invite your inquiries and suggestions.
